If you featured in any of this media, I would ask your consent before I use your photo, film, story or blog. I can accept consent by email and verbally. At events, where there are large groups of people, I would do my best to get consent from people. This is often done verbally.

I collect information about you, from the details you give me. You may have emailed me, filled in an online form or donated to me. I will ask you to ‘opt-in’ for communications such as e-newsletters. I make it clear when you sign up, that your information will only be used for that purpose.

 

I use personal information to carry out administrative tasks, like processing your orders and dealing with enquiries from you.

Cookies are simple ’text files’ containing two pieces of information: a site name and unique user ID. When you use this website for the first time, a cookie is downloaded to your PC or mobile/tablet.

I will only use and store information for so long as it is required for the purposes it was collected for. How long information will be stored for depends on the information and what it is being used for. For example, if you ask me not to send you marketing emails, I will stop storing your emails for marketing purposes (though I will keep a record of your preference not to be emailed).

 

I never store payment card information but I may need to retain some records to meet my legal obligations – these would include records about money.

My website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides me with the online platform that allows me to sell my products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by my business adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by myself and its service providers.

Electronic data and databases are stored on secure computer systems and I control who has access to information.

 

I cannot guarantee the security of your home computer or the internet, and any online communications are at the user’s own risk.

I continually review what information we hold and delete what is no longer required.

 

7. Accessing, updating or changing your information

 

I want to make sure you remain in control of your personal data. Part of this is making sure you understand your legal rights, which are as follows:

  • to be informed about what I do with your personal data

  • to access your information by contacting me

  • to be able to change your personal data if it is inaccurate

  • to be erased from my systems, unless it is necessary for me to hold it. For example, if you ask me not to send you marketing emails, I will stop storing your data for marketing purposes (though I will keep a record of your preference not to be emailed).

  • to object to me holding your personal data

  • to ask to take your personal data with you

  • to restrict me from processing your data

  • in automated decision-making – which I do not do.
